BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/17/09 -- NCP engineering GmbH today announced the availability of a single software IPsec VPN client that provides users with seamless connectivity for all 32/64-bit Windows 7, Vista or XP operating systems. Version 9.2 of the NCP Secure Entry Client is the only VPN client that provides users with an integrated dialer, personal firewall and 32/64-bit VPN connection, and the ease of a 'one-click and forget it' experience. Complete integration between NCP's VPN client and any third-party IPsec gateway reduces help desk calls and administrative complexity by automatically importing settings, profiles and certificates.
The new version of the NCP Secure Entry Client includes an intuitive interface that even non-technical users can understand, data encryption, Friendly Net Detection, and one-time password token and certificate support through a public key infrastructure (PKI). It can also be integrated with network access control (NAC) features to ensure highly secure access to central data networks.
Key New Features:
- One software download of the NCP Secure Entry Client covers all
Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- WLAN roaming automatically chooses the strongest available access point
with the same service set identifier (SSID) without any interruption.
- The NCP Secure Entry Client supports Intel's
newest Wi-Fi drivers.
- 64-bit optimization increases data throughput by approximately 20
percent.
- The 'Tip of the Day' provides users with shortcuts and facts about remote network access.
Supporting Quotes:
- "As the industry changes, so does the need for flexible, universal communications technologies," said Simon Ford, international sales director, NCP engineering. "We strive to provide our customers with the latest VPN solutions that are not only secure, but easy to use and dependable. It is important to NCP, to provide users with secure access, while making it easy from download to installation through actual use of the client. As people migrate to Windows 7, we want their remote access to be effortless."
